My uncle had one that jumped out of his lemon tree and bit him twice on the thumb and he lived cause they got him to the hospital in time. He lives in Arizona those things live in the desert areas they do not know how to survive the winter so if any tried to come up in the north they would die in the winter.

Yup good ole Arizona have a ton of them, I was born there and going back! Yes the black widow is a very neat little spider, but on the rare case can kill you. This kid is pretty lucky that the venom didn't do anything to serious to his body. I've never been bit before by one, but I sure wouldn't want to.
Comment
no surprise there, considering "live" spelled backwards is "evil"

Comment
vbvibeify has a point most people can survive a black widow bite, this kid got bit twice i think so that makes it alot worse im sure, the fact that he is a teenager helps him have a better chance of survival since most teens have a strong immune system because of the blast of hormones.
Comment
By the way, that shit about daddy long legs is a complete myth.
Comment

you probably didnt go 7 days without medicine huh cali moowaffles this kid went 7 days without medicine bc they didnt have the vaccine so rely it not ridiculous
Comment
That's coz he was bitten on the foot... I heard that poison travels faster through the body if the person was bitten on the foot... so I think this is a dangerous case
Comment
Give me a source then. Hell you can GOOGLE it and you will get the results. You are talking out of your ass.
Comment
i keep black widows as pets . if i want more , all i do is cross the golden gate bridge and collect them from abandoned army forts . the army forts has a family of them living in old cells.

Black widow bites arent really THAT bad. In my backyard we have L. geometricus, L.Mactans, L.Hesperius, and a few L.Pallidus introduced from the middle-east. Maybe its because ive been bitten so much, and show little-to-no symptoms, but I just think the danger is over-emphasized, and the induced panic actually endangers lives, rather than protect! I believe this kid just went into a panic, making the bite much worse. Why are these guys trying to scare us? LOL
Comment
hey you "stupid fuck."the only point i was trying to make was that they could be anywhere not ONLY in Canada like what that other person said.wow you're cool.
Comment
I HATE it when parents always go: "Oh just go lie down it's nothing don't worry." Or they see their kid writhing in agony on the floor and instead of calling 911 they go "I can't believe a spider could do this to him..." I know there's a bit of denial going on but he could die if you don't get help... ?
Comment
Your a ignorant fuck....Firstly, the reenactment is yes fake.. The story is not. and No i went to this house in Florida and i've seen a few black widows inside the bark of his trees.your dumb.
